In response to the requests from the community, there is finally a large hall available in the Burke community to support various events! Attached to the new station is a fire hall with a 250 person capacity, kitchen facilities, and full handicapped access. The facility is designed to host a wide variety of activities, including:

* Wedding receptions and banquets
* Craft, hobby, collector and other shows
* Bingo
* Meetings and presentations
* Scouting events such as "Blue and Gold" dinners
* Other community events such as Homeowner Association meetings

We also intend to hold regular events such as weekend pancake breakfasts and spaghetti dinners as fundraisers for the volunteer department. Other ideas are also in the planning.

The hall has both rectangular and round tables available to support different activities. The kitchen is configured as a "warming" kitchen and is able to effectively support the operations of a caterer for your wedding reception, or similar event. Adequate power is available for any kind of show or other use. Public address and audio-visual equipment are also available.

The facility is designed as a single story, ground-level facility with easy access. A large parking lot is available, and other parking for overflow, if needed, is nearby.

The hall is intended to generate revenue to support the operations and finance the building loan. Just as important is that we want to make the fire station a center of the community, offering events and activities that bring all parts and ages of the local populace together as a social center for Burke and the surrounding area.

See the hall information flyer for more details, contact information, and pricing.

Volunteer Opportunities Available!

The management and operation of the fire hall opens up many opportunities for citizens of the Burke community to become a member of the Burke Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department and provide valuable services without riding a fire truck or ambulance. We need volunteers who are interested in having an active role in helping run the fire hall. Age is not a limiting factor! This is a great way to support your community! Contact the Burke VFRD for more information.
