About the Program
Because
of recent changes in the American Heart Association's CPR certification
program, our department, along with other departments in Fairfax County,
has been forced to restructure our own Citizen CPR programs. The AHA's
"Friends and Family" program that we can currently offer is
very basic and does not meet the expectations of the average person requesting
training from us.
The Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department serves as our volunteer
department's certification center for all CPR programs. We are currently
negotiating with them to be able to again offer the more advance
"Heartsaver" program to the public. Once we are able to
work out the details we will provide updated information on this
